Who is a painter? It's a questiton that has always caught me deep-tied for long. Going beyond the absurd technicalities of defining an artist, I can safely conclude that a painter is with a man with a unique vision, a vibrating heart, an alchemist's touch, a real-life imagination and a rootless dream! And by those standards, I feel honored to include me and my works into that elite list. My initial days in Bardwan (West Bengal) have enabled me with a supreme sense of admiration towards nature and humanity. As they say, art is the fire that ignites a soul from within, without a spark from without, my initiation with art started way back in those innocent days. A master dreamer doesn't wait to 'borrow' the artificial technicalities of painting, he's born with it. My first painting exhibition was 'Horsepower' (2009). I feel honored and humbled by the endless appreciations that the art lovers have bestowed in me after that exhibition. For the first time I realised that an ecstatic melody can be created on canvas, with colors and imagination.... and the world will love that. I always strive for some unique themes, polished strokes, beautiful depictions, touching appeal and exceptional energy. They, together, can create a magic and I can vouch for that. Let's art be simple, let it be deep and it flow simply deep! |
